Quinn Adams is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Health at the Boston University School of Public Health. She is also a trainee in the Boston University Graduate Program in Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health (BU URBAN), an interdisciplinary program to address urban challenges. Her research broadly focuses on the health risks of climate change and extreme weather events. Her recent work uses spatial and statistical methods to evaluate novel exposure metrics for extreme heat and identify strategies to reduce climate-related health effects. Separately, she examines the impact of changing weather patterns on the distribution of vector-borne infectious diseases. Previously, she held positions working on environmental justice issues at the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators and the Association of Public Health Laboratories in Washington, DC.
