Job Opportunity: Director, Climate Judiciary Project

CJP Staff

The Environmental Law Institute seeks a dynamic Director to lead its groundbreaking Climate Judiciary Project to educate judges on the science and impacts of climate change. The Project enjoys widespread support of judges throughout the nation as well as the scientific, legal-scholarly, and philanthropic communities.  As it expanded in scope and effort over several years, led by current senior staff and volunteers, the need emerged for a fulltime Director to provide vision, planning, leadership, and overall operating management to take the Project to the next level. The Director will oversee new program development and implementation, contribute thought-leadership in the climate science and law arena, and manage a growing team of dedicated staff.  The Director will build the profile of the Project with external audiences, among professionals and with selected media.  The role will also be responsible for continuing and expanding the multi-million-dollar fundraising accomplished to date, working with the support of a talented staff and a growing volunteer network.

The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in science, business management, or law, and have at least five years in line-management leadership. Compensation is highly competitive.
